Select Coat N300 can be utilized as a water-based rust converter that is effective even in areas where type 1 surface preparation is difficult, serving as a simple rust prevention and extension measure. Generally, it is desirable for the amount of salt contamination before painting to be below 100 mg/m2; however, N300 has been tested under high salt environments with salt contamination levels of 360 to 660 mg/m2 in a Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism verification test, and no under-coating corrosion or blistering has been observed.
