Access, which allows for easy extraction and processing of data from RDBs via ODBC connections, has been utilized as a highly convenient office tool in various departments. On the other hand, for IT departments, it has also been a tool with many challenges, such as the inability to restore data if it breaks, lack of security features, and a tendency to become overly dependent on specific individuals.
