LIXIL Housing Research Institute has announced a new housing concept for the 100-year life era called "Five Generations." The house comfortably connects four households: Unit 1 (85-year-old generation: elderly generation), Unit 2 (65-year-old generation: fulfilled generation), Unit 3 (45-year-old generation: working-age generation), and Unit 4 (25-year-old generation: child-rearing generation). It utilizes IoT technology and is based on concepts such as physical fitness, disaster resilience, and inheritance for the future, proposing evolved housing technology that supports mental connections, health management, and daily living. To create a supportive air environment for health, our "CO2 Controller" has also been incorporated into this concept home as a standard feature of the new housing. The five generations live in separate units suited to each generation while forming a small community under one roof, representing the future of housing, where air quality is maintained and energy efficiency is supported.
