The harbor flap gate (round and square type) "F8 type" prevents external water from backflowing during storm surges. It adopts a double hinge design, achieving high water tightness and smooth opening and closing. The door and stops are made of SUS323L (equivalent to SUS316L), which is particularly resistant to seawater. The allowable wave height is equivalent to 6.0m (equivalent to a water depth of 30m).
