Using confirmed strength Akamatsu (Japanese red pine) for 2×4 construction rental housing, promoting the use of Akamatsu from Iwate Prefecture ◆ To prevent the expansion of pine wilt damage Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd. announced on November 22 that it will complete two rental housing units using 100% domestic lumber, including Akamatsu from Iwate Prefecture, by the end of January 2024 in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture. The Akamatsu in Iwate Prefecture is experiencing the progression of pine wilt, and in order to prevent further damage, the harvesting and utilization of unaffected timber is being promoted.
