◆Newly equipped with the "Point Cloud Assist" feature that further evolves 3D Fukui Computer Architect Co., Ltd. announced on January 6 that it will release the latest version of its BIM architectural design and construction support system GLOOBE on March 8, 2023. The latest version introduces the "Point Cloud Assist" feature as a common option for the GLOOBE series, in addition to the existing 3D model functions for construction, processes, and quantities. Furthermore, GLOOBE Architect has enhanced wooden floor plans and frame diagrams, while GLOOBE Construction has improved the visualization and accuracy of structural quantities. ◆Realizing a digital twin of the construction site The newly added "Point Cloud Assist" feature allows for the processing, editing, and synthesis of 3D point cloud data captured from 3D laser scanners and LiDAR. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with GLOOBE Architect/Construction, enabling the hybrid use of 3D point cloud data and BIM models to create a digital twin of the construction site. The usage rights for the "Point Cloud Assist" feature are priced at 240,000 yen per year (excluding tax).
