Zero Board, a GHG emissions calculation and visualization tool, begins introduction at construction sites.

【News 2023/1/2】Calculating and visualizing GHG emissions from heavy machinery and equipment at construction sites on a building and daily basis to promote decarbonization in the construction industry.

◆Sequential introduction to new construction sites On January 17, Zero Board Co., Ltd. announced that it will sequentially introduce its GHG emission calculation and visualization tool "Zero Board Construction" to new construction sites of Takenaka Corporation starting in February 2023. Currently, Zero Board Construction is undergoing demonstration experiments at construction sites in collaboration with Takenaka Corporation and Yuasa Trading Co., Ltd. ◆GHG emissions during the construction phase will be a challenge moving forward In Japan, CO2 emissions from construction machinery account for 1.4% of total industrial emissions, highlighting the emerging challenge of addressing GHG emissions during the construction phase. Zero Board Construction is a tool designed to manage GHG emissions from heavy machinery and equipment at construction sites on a building and daily basis, aimed at solving this challenge. Emissions data is collected from activity data obtained from IoT devices installed on heavy machinery and equipment, which is then automatically and in real-time incorporated into Zero Board Construction for calculation and visualization. The company plans to further develop its functions by actually operating Zero Board Construction and aims to eventually calculate GHG emissions predictions during the design phase.
