◆LIXIL's Unique Composite Technology On February 1, 2023, LIXIL Corporation (hereinafter referred to as LIXIL) announced the launch of its composite technology named "FORCE CARBON," which enables the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) in building materials. On the same day, a special website for "FORCE CARBON" was opened. ◆Enabling Product Development with Challenging Designs "FORCE CARBON" is a technology that optimally combines lightweight yet highly strong CFRP with other materials, inspired by the high strength characteristic of CFRP. By utilizing this technology, not only is the performance of residential buildings improved, but the high strength allows for the elimination of excess material, making it possible to develop beautifully refined designs that were previously difficult to achieve. Additionally, the reduction in overall material usage and weight contributes to lower environmental impact during transportation and improves work efficiency during construction. LIXIL aims to contribute to the realization of "a future of living that exceeds imagination" through various products and innovative ideas born from "FORCE CARBON."
