In nighttime monitoring for service-equipped senior housing, ensuring the safety of residents is crucial. Particularly, falls at night are often discovered late, which can lead to serious accidents. Preventing falls not only alleviates the physical burden on residents but also reduces the workload for caregiving staff. The monitoring sensor "Techmat" alerts in advance when a resident gets out of bed, thereby reducing the risk of falls at night. The Techmat, equipped with 1,024 independent sensor points, can accurately map the pressure distribution of elderly individuals with millimeter-level precision. It continuously monitors the posture and pressure conditions of seniors in bed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If the pressure on a specific area exceeds a set duration, it sends an alert to staff to encourage a change in position. The Techmat identifies behaviors that pose a fall risk by detecting in real-time when seniors rise from bed or change their posture to sitting or lying down. When high-risk behaviors, such as getting up, are detected by the Techmat, an alarm notification is triggered instantly.
