The "AH-38" is an external antenna manufactured by Icom. It is a passive external antenna used for indoor operation when deploying the Icom satellite communication transceivers IC-SAT100/IC-SAT100M indoors or in vehicles. The antenna utilizes a passive design that excels in radio wave transmission speed, allowing for quick reception and transmission. It can be used for both GPS location information and calls using satellite communication via Iridium. When combined with the separately sold OPC-2113, it can be installed on the rooftop of a building for operation. The antenna part is treated with waterproofing, so it can be used without issues even in rainy weather.
