The "EME-46A" is a throat microphone made by Alinco. It can be used with Alinco's 2-pin plug specific low-power transceivers. With a robust construction that has passed nine strength tests, including bending and pulling, as well as eight environmental tests for high temperature and humidity, it is more durable than conventional Alinco headsets, making it safe to use in harsher environments such as construction sites and factories. By utilizing the PTT lock function on the radio unit, it also supports simultaneous communication. The speaker part is designed as an ear pad type that minimizes ear discomfort.
