The CMP816 is a talk-type lapel microphone designed for simultaneous communication transceivers made by Standard. It can be used with Standard's simultaneous communication type specific low-power transceivers. As a talk-type microphone (directional microphone), it is designed to be used close to the mouth, making it less likely to pick up surrounding noise, which is suitable for use in noisy environments. Additionally, it features noise-canceling functionality to suppress ambient noise. Communication starts by pressing the call (PTT) button located on the cable. The microphone comes with a windscreen cap, so wind noise is not a concern when used outdoors.
