"Long-standing achievements" Interview with Science Hills Komatsu. Video added.
This is the building that won the BCS Award in 2015. The "Science Hills Komatsu," completed in 2013, features our large gate.
This time, we interviewed the deputy director about the usage of our large gate. It is opened and closed daily during the opening hours. The gate is used not only at the main entrance but also at the parking lot and for the shuttle vehicle gate. Additionally, Science Hills Komatsu received the BCS Award in 2015. The "BCS Award" recognizes that creating excellent buildings requires not only design but also construction techniques, and that understanding and cooperation among the owner, designer, and contractor are essential for such structures. Each year, 15 to 17 projects are selected from across the country to receive this award. For reference, the local buildings (around Kanazawa City) that have won since 2010 are: 2010: Hokkoku Shimbun Akahane Hall (Kanazawa City) 2013: Kanazawa Umimirai Hall (Kanazawa City) 2014: (Reference) Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building and Tokyo Skytree, among others 2015: Science Hills Komatsu (Komatsu City), Daisetsu Suzuki Museum (Kanazawa City) (Reference) Simultaneous winners include Abeno Harukas (Osaka), among others We are very honored that our gates are involved with such wonderful buildings.
