With the three-phase induction motor (motor) conforming to the IE3 standard, the starting current has significantly increased. When updating fire hydrant pumps or smoke exhaust fans, I've heard that costs rise due to increasing generator capacity, adding inverters, and related measures for harmonics. By controlling the start and stop of pump blowers with voltage control, the starting current can be reduced, and water hammer can be eliminated.
