The electric snow melting mat "Soheater" is manufactured in Hokkaido by a traditional company that once supplied rubber products to the Yubari coal mine, and it is sold by Hokueki Yusetsu. With a powerful snow melting output of 300W per square meter, it has a sufficient lifespan of over 10 years even when left outdoors, and it is easy to use—simply plug it into an outdoor 100V outlet to melt the snow. The standard thickness mat for stairs and sidewalks is only 9mm thick, making it easy to store by stacking or rolling it up during the off-season. For vehicle passage areas, such as in front of garages, a custom-made 13mm thick version with reinforced materials and thickness is also available.
