Case Study of the Introduction of an Emergency Earthquake Alert System: Midori Anzen Co., Ltd.
Emphasizing reliability! Operations are conducted under constant monitoring by the center, so there is no daily operational burden.
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of the emergency earthquake alert system 'MJ@lert' at Midori Anzen Co., Ltd. and Midori Logistics Co., Ltd. In response to reports that emergency earthquake alerts would be made publicly available, the company made the management decision to implement the system, as it was absolutely necessary to avoid situations where employees at the logistics center could be harmed by falling cargo during an earthquake. During the consideration period, there were two significant earthquakes, but since no major earthquakes have occurred after the implementation, we cannot currently cite any effects of the system. Nevertheless, we recognize that knowing there will be an alert before significant shaking occurs during a major earthquake provides a "psychological sense of security." 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - We want to avoid situations where employees in the logistics center could be harmed by falling cargo from heights due to an earthquake. ■Results - Recognized psychological sense of security. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
