The design of the diaphragm and stiffeners "JSP-45W" is based on the Steel Road Bridge Design Manual (revised August 1980) and the Stiffener Design for Steel Structures (edited by Sadao Komatsu) for the diaphragm design, which includes detailed checks for (1) spacing, (2) rigidity, and (3) stress levels. Additionally, for the design of stiffeners, it follows the Road Bridge Design Guidelines and Commentary I General Edition, II Steel Bridge Edition (March 2002) and the design standards of the Nagoya Public Corporation, which includes detailed checks for (1) cross-section analysis, (2) stress levels, and (3) examination of welded joints.
