Installation Case of Ground-Mounted Seismic-Resistant Water Storage Tank and Fire Water Tank at a Precision Parts Manufacturing Factory

Installation of above-ground fire water tanks due to factory expansion! Adoption based on the conditions of the construction site.

This is an introduction to a case where our above-ground seismic-resistant water storage tank and fire water tank, the 'BUG type', was installed at a precision parts manufacturing facility in Aomori Prefecture. During the expansion of an existing private sector precision parts manufacturing factory, instructions were received from the local fire department regarding the need for additional fire water supply and a review of the layout due to the application of the Fire Service Act. The layout was considered with respect to the distance between the existing and newly constructed buildings and the fire water tank, and it was required that the tank be positioned so as not to affect the building's foundation. The decision to adopt an above-ground type was made due to the limited space available for civil engineering work.
