[HP Introduction Case] A certain company in Hiroshima Prefecture
We will introduce a case where the separation of two networks and sharing devices such as printers and NAS have been successfully achieved.
We would like to introduce a case where HP was implemented to address challenges and requests. A certain company faced the challenge of needing to "completely separate existing NW1 and existing NW2, but still share printers and NAS." In the existing environment, a router was being used, but it was replaced with a firewall/UTM. A new DMZ was established, and detailed access control was implemented to allow the minimum necessary communication from each existing network to be forwarded to the DMZ. [Overview] ■ Challenges - Existing NW1 and existing NW2 must be completely separated - Printers and NAS need to be shared ■ Results - A new DMZ was established, and detailed access control was implemented to allow the minimum necessary communication from each existing network to be forwarded to the DMZ - Since the lines were redundant, SD-WAN was implemented for internet communication - Configured to use low-latency lines - Configured to use the normal line in case of a failure on one side - Print server was built and installed in the DMZ. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
