Achieving uniform vegetation through soil adhesion effects! A case study of using different seed mixtures in vegetation mats and vegetation sheets.

This is an introduction to a case where the vegetation mat "Harishiba Kangaroo N" was installed at the Prefectural Single Mountain (Prefectural Management) Sasahiyu construction site in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is a combined work with log work (using thinned timber for the frame). Different seed mixtures were used for the vegetation mat work and vegetation sheet work. This product features fertilizer bags attached to a net at 40 cm intervals, installed along contour lines, which helps to disperse runoff water from rainfall and mitigate soil erosion.
