[Case Study] Detecting fluctuations in raw water turbidity and alleviating concerns about aluminum detection.
By installing a control instrument on the control panel and regulating the injection amount of the coagulant, the floc formation becomes stable!
In the rapid filtration facility, there were significant fluctuations in the raw water turbidity during rainy and sunny weather, and the amount of coagulant injected was adjusted based on the experience and intuition of the personnel in charge. Therefore, a control panel was equipped with a regulator to implement control of the coagulant injection amount. By combining the conventional intake flow rate with the raw water turbidity and based on the results of repeated jar tests, an appropriate injection amount corresponding to the raw water turbidity was determined, stabilizing floc formation. There is no longer any concern about changes in weather or fluctuations in raw water turbidity, and the concerns about aluminum detection have also been resolved, resulting in stable filtered water quality.
