- For new purchases - We will provide a lightning strike indicator (manufactured by Nippon Oil & Fat Co., Ltd.) free of charge to identify whether there has been a lightning strike on the PDCE lightning rod itself. This is important because there are rare instances where it becomes an issue whether the PDCE lightning rod itself has experienced a lightning strike. By attaching this lightning strike indicator to the support pipe of the PDCE lightning rod, in the event of a lightning strike with a current of 60kA or more, a red ribbon will pop out from the main unit, allowing for remote identification of whether a lightning strike has occurred. *The lightning strike indicator is a trademark of Nippon Oil & Fat Co., Ltd.
