There have been incidents involving automatic doors where individuals have placed their hands on the door pocket and come into contact with the opening door, or where fingers have been caught. By installing a protective sliding screen on the indoor side of the door pocket and adding finger pinch prevention rubber to the tip of the screen, the likelihood of these accidents has been reduced.
