[Super Sol Construction Case] A2 Example of Backfill Material for Retaining Walls on Steep Slopes

This is a case of the construction work for the left bank plaza of the Muromi Dam in Uda City, Nara Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a case study of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used as backfill for a retaining wall in a steep slope. It was used beneath an observation deck overlooking the dam. It was adopted as backfill for the retaining wall in the steep slope to reduce soil pressure.
