[Super Soil Construction Case] A2 Case of Backfill Material for Retaining Walls on Soft Ground

This is a case of road repair work for the Heisei 21 fiscal year repair bond No. 6 in Hita City, Oita Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of "Super Sol," an artificial lightweight material made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used as a raising material in kitchens. In road widening construction, lightweight fill materials are typically not used behind precast L-shaped retaining walls. However, due to occurrences of overturning on soft ground, Super Sol lightweight fill material was adopted as a countermeasure.
