[Super Soil Construction Case] A2 Tail Arm Fill Material Case [Tochigi]

This is a case of road construction for management purposes in the Hirasawa area of Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a construction example of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made by crushing and sintering waste glass to create a foamed glass material. This example pertains to the use of Super Sol as backfill material for the tailing wall method. It was adopted as backfill material for the road construction for dam management. Due to the presence of an existing retaining wall at the lower part of the construction site, Super Sol was used to reduce soil pressure.
