■Optimization of Solar Power Plants!! On July 1, 2012, the Taiyo Ecoblocks No. 1 Power Plant began selling electricity early on a Sunday morning as Japan's first mega-solar power plant under the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) system. As an effective use of our idle land, we launched a solar power plant construction project. Rather than simply outsourcing the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) as an Independent Power Producer (IPP), we conducted the design in-house, starting with the selection of modules and PCS (Power Conditioning System), and explored how to achieve the best performance within the limited site area, especially in an inland area with slightly lower solar radiation. We verified the optimal angle tailored to our property in 1° increments, and of course, comprehensively considered the effects of azimuth and shading on annual power generation efficiency. We focused on meticulous design rather than just arranging a large number of panels. Additionally, to leverage our in-house know-how, we searched for various mounting systems and found that our company's RM method, which we have developed over time, is very effective in terms of design and cost, leading to the creation of the HRM solar mounting system.
