We would like to introduce a case study on the introduction of a wood biomass boiler at the Kawashita-so in the Miyama Town Nature and Culture Village. Using dead trees from oak and pine, as well as thinned wood as fuel, it is utilized for heating the bathing facilities, hot water supply, and lobby heating. Before the introduction, an oil boiler was used as the heat source, but with the installation of the biomass boiler, fossil fuel consumption has been reduced, leading to a decrease in CO2 emissions from fossil fuels.
