Important from the start! We have finished the new concrete pavement with a long-lasting surface that is resistant to "wear" and "rainwater."
A skateboard park completed at the east exit of JR Ishioka Station in Ibaraki Prefecture has undergone construction to create a long-lasting concrete surface! Skate park construction commissioned by local governments is often contracted to local civil engineering companies, which may not be accustomed to managing large concrete surface installations. Due to pouring concrete on a hot, sunny day in March, there were many rough areas on the surface, and we finished it to create a smooth surface suitable for skateboarding, including corrections for those rough spots. At the opening ceremony, there was a demonstration by professional riders, and it was a huge success with comments like, "It's super easy to skate on!" Many attendees mentioned they had never encountered such a surface before. We hope to introduce this surface to many users in future new and existing parks, while preventing the deterioration of the parks and ensuring the safety of users.

The "Seal Hard Skate Park Specification" is a construction method product provided through the following steps 1 to 4. [Patent pending] ◆1. Concrete Grinding (for renovation only) The roughened concrete surface is ground down to remove surface irregularities. ◆2. Concrete Polishing For newly installed concrete: Smooth out surface trowel marks, trowel lines, and fine irregularities to create a surface without roughness. For renovated concrete: Further smooth out grinding marks and fine irregularities from the surface that has been made even in the previous step, creating a surface without roughness. ◆3. Penetrating Surface Hardener Seal Hard This is a concrete surface hardener that "penetrates" rather than "coats," ensuring no peeling occurs. It provides strong dust resistance and wear resistance to the concrete. ◆4. Water Absorption Inhibitor (Water Repellent) Aquapel Plus This is a concrete surface water absorption inhibitor (water repellent) that "penetrates" rather than "coats." It exhibits water absorption inhibition effects over the long term.

【Joint Filling】 The design included cut joints to minimize cracks in the concrete. However, from the skater's perspective, this created unevenness that affected their glide. 【Seal Hard Application】 We will apply the penetrating concrete surface hardener "Seal Hard." With the effect of Seal Hard, the concrete surface will gradually harden and transform. Since Seal Hard is a non-film-forming penetrating type, it will not peel off. However, the penetrating hardener is vulnerable to rainwater; when exposed to rainwater, the penetrating components can dissolve and wash away.

Since it is a non-film-forming penetrating type, it will not peel off.

[Test Run Confirmation] If Aqua Pearl Plus is applied too much, the grip will weaken and cause slipping during turns. Therefore, staff skilled in skateboarding will actually test it on a skateboard to check the resistance while sliding and the grip during turns. If any issues are found during the confirmation, adjustments will be made through re-cleaning with a polisher or polishing.
