Manufacturing of Steel Pipe Piles Using Friction Welding
Contributes to cost reduction through material and labor hour reduction. Suitable for mass production with stable joining quality and production system.
We propose the fabrication of steel pipe piles using friction stir welding. This method achieves "full-strength joints" where the strength of the joint surface does not fall below that of the base material due to solid-state diffusion bonding. It allows for rapid joining, significantly improving productivity. In some cases, processing time can be reduced by over 90% compared to complete penetration welding. Additionally, the joint area experiences minimal heat impact, allowing for a reduction in processes. Since bevel processing and backing bars are unnecessary, it also contributes to material savings and overall cost reduction. By managing parameters through machinery, we can consistently provide high-quality products that are not dependent on the skill level of welding operators. 【Features】 ■ The joint strength is "full-strength." ■ Productivity is significantly improved. ■ Joint quality is stable. ■ Products can be supplied with a stable production system. *For product details, please refer to the materials.
