Sulfur-resistant corrosion coating [Corrosion prevention measures for thermal power plants]
We will suppress corrosion in actual coal-fired boilers to less than 1/4 compared to unprocessed areas.
**Overview** We will implement and supervise the corrosion prevention measures developed by the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) to protect the boiler water-cooled pipes and superheaters of coal-fired power plants (including oil-fired power plants) from sulfide corrosion and high-temperature corrosion, using a coating (patent registration number 5110608). This can be completed in a short period even if there is no time for thermal spraying or build-up welding. (A licensing agreement has been concluded with CRIEPI.) - CRIEPI has focused on the low reactivity of titanium oxide and sulfur, and has developed a composite film with excellent gas barrier properties. - In approximately two years of verification on actual coal-fired boiler equipment, corrosion was confirmed to be reduced to less than one-fourth compared to untreated areas (CRIEPI report: Comprehensive Report M04 (2015)). - The high-temperature coating addresses high-temperature corrosion (CRIEPI report M18004). basic information
【Features】 ■ Uses titanium dioxide with low reactivity to hydrogen sulfide in the top coat ■ Environmental barrier with multiple layers of 4-layer film ■ Construction period is generally around 3 days ■ Fast and cost-effective due to spray coating (Coating is possible with just compressed air, such as instrument air) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
