The adoption of lightweight fill (FCB method) and backfilling methods using fluidized treated soil is increasing. Applications are expanding to include reduction of settlement on soft ground, load reduction on landslide-prone slopes, reduction of soil pressure on structures, backfilling in difficult areas, prevention of consolidation settlement, ground improvement, and liquefaction countermeasures.
