Trigrid

This is a method that enhances the stability and strength of embankments through the interaction between high-strength geogrids, known as Trigrid, installed within the fill and the fill material itself.

This is a geogrid for soil reinforcement and embankment construction, composed of high-strength polyester (PET) fibers as the core material, coated with polypropylene (PP) resin, and structured in a lattice configuration. It has sufficient strength, low elongation, excellent creep characteristics, impact resistance, cold and heat resistance, good friction properties with soil, and excellent workability.

basic information

1. Effective Land Use By layering Trigrid within the embankment, stability is improved, and when combined with wall materials, the embankment surface can be made steep, allowing for effective land use. 2. Excellent Workability and Cost-effectiveness It is lightweight and flexible, providing excellent workability. Additionally, the creep reduction coefficient is high at 65%, enabling economical design. The surface is coated with resin, ensuring excellent durability, with almost no reduction in strength due to damage from materials like gravel. 3. High Reliability and Excellent Safety By designing based on the "Design and Construction Manual for Reinforced Soil Using Geotextiles (Second Revised Edition)" (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Civil Engineering Research Center), it is possible to construct highly reliable embankments. Reinforced soil walls using Trigrid exhibit superior seismic resistance compared to conventional methods such as block masonry retaining walls. 4. Wide Range of Applicable Embankment Materials A relatively wide range of embankment materials can be applied, from cohesive soils including construction waste to rocky materials like gravel.
