[Construction Case] On-site Cast-in-Place Foundation Stabilization Method "Conback Method"

Examples of protective flooring methods in small areas! It is possible to propose labor-saving and shortened construction periods for pier protection and flooring work.

We would like to introduce a case that adopted the "Conback Method" for the construction of a cast-in-place foundation in the existing bridge pier's lower protective layer in a narrow construction area. To allow construction machinery to enter, it was necessary to implement temporary river enclosures and pump out water. However, carrying out temporary river diversions required significant costs and time, and there was a desire for a protective layer construction method that could be executed without diverting the river. By adopting this method, we were able to eliminate the costs associated with temporary works such as river diversions, leading to savings in construction costs and a reduction in construction period, which pleased the client. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - It was necessary to remove the bagged stone protective layer material that had been installed as a protective layer for the existing road bridge pier and to install new protective layer blocks. ■Results - We were able to eliminate temporary construction costs. - We achieved savings in construction costs and a reduction in the construction period. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
