[Construction Case] FabriCast Hollow Space Filling Construction

We propose a filling method using fabric-cast materials with special bags for the restoration of voids between revetment foundations!

We would like to introduce a case where "Fabricast void filling construction" was carried out. In this site, the foundation of the riverbank protection in a small river had been eroded over time, raising concerns about the collapse of the existing bank protection. The site was narrow, making it difficult to use large construction machinery, and it was necessary to implement a labor-saving construction method to fill the eroded areas. Therefore, we proposed the "Fabricast" special bag used for filling voids caused by erosion, along with the filling method. Based on the drawings from prior investigations, we manufactured the Fabricast, pumped mortar through pipes, and successfully carried out the challenging task of filling the narrow spaces in the confined site.
