[Case Study] Welfare Facility / Rainbow Works
Experiencing the Noto Peninsula earthquake made me acutely aware of the importance of electricity. As a welfare facility, we aim to deliver electricity not only to our residents but also to the community. [Delivery Interview]
This time, we have the pleasure of interviewing Masaki Tanaka, the director of Asamidori-kai Rainbow Works, a social welfare corporation. Rainbow Works operates a daytime work facility for individuals with disabilities and five group homes. Director Tanaka also serves as the chairperson of the Disaster Prevention Committee of the Aichi Prefecture Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Recently, the facility has introduced the following emergency power sources: - 2 ELSONA GD5000SR generators - 1 ELSONA GD1600SR generator - 4 EcoFlow DELTA2 portable power sources Remarkably, the GD5000SR is the first of its kind to be delivered to a welfare facility in Japan! In terms of scale, there are 30 facility users across the five group homes. After the support activities following the Noto Peninsula earthquake, Director Tanaka shared his thoughts and actions during that time. Please take a look.
