Bell System 24 Holdings (Minato-ku, Tokyo) announced on June 24 that it has begun new initiatives at the "Kobe Solution Center" in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, aimed at protecting the global environment and realizing diverse work styles. The center is positioned as a "Sustainable Center" contributing to a sustainable society. In May 2025, an LED garden will be established within the center to grow vegetables using artificial light. This is expected to improve indoor CO₂ absorption and air quality, and the vegetables grown will be used to promote employee health through internal sales. Additionally, solar power generation equipment will be installed in the center's parking and bicycle parking areas. The electricity generated will supply the entire facility and the LED garden. Furthermore, as part of its efforts to reduce food waste, the company is introducing "food waste reduction vending machines" and "vending machines that consume CO₂," among other initiatives for environmental protection. The company aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040 and plans to expand similar initiatives to its locations nationwide in the future.
