RBS Form Method [Backfill Hollow Filling]
Cavity injection system using high-expansion polyurethane injection material.
The RBS form construction method is a cavity injection technique using polyurethane-based injection materials developed for the purpose of filling tunnel voids and reinforcing existing tunnels by filling the cavities behind the lining concrete. The high filling capacity and permeability due to the unique foaming of polyurethane resin allow for the filling of voids. Additionally, it penetrates cracks in the lining concrete, providing a waterproofing effect as well.
basic information
○Reduction of Load Burden - Due to its low specific gravity, the load burden on the lining concrete is small, and with a strength development time of about 60 seconds, limited injection is possible. ○Water Stopping Effect - By penetrating into the cracks of the lining concrete, it not only fills voids but also achieves a water stopping effect. ○Excellent Workability - With only one high-altitude work vehicle and one equipment vehicle, the limited number of equipment makes it easy to move, transport, and remove within regulated work areas. ○Injection Automation System - The injection pump is equipped with a flow meter and automatically adjusts the injection volume and pressure, resulting in minimal material loss. It also has an emergency automatic stop feature in case of abnormal pressure rise, ensuring a high level of safety in the method.
