Hybrid seismic reinforcement method

It is a seismic resistance construction method that joins seismic braces using epoxy resin and anchors in two different ways.

Compared to conventional methods, the number of post-installed anchors can be reduced, and since roughening of the existing structure is unnecessary, noise, vibration, and dust can be minimized, allowing for construction while remaining in the building. By adjusting the number of post-installed anchors on the existing framework, reinforcement effects can be secured as needed. Due to the indirect connection with head-mounted studs, the lap length can be reliably secured, ensuring high quality. This method can also be used as a steel brace with openings.

basic information

■Overview of the Construction Method A joining steel plate with head-mounted studs welded at the factory is bonded with epoxy resin to the inside of the existing structure. Post-installed adhesive anchors are placed as needed. A framed steel brace is installed. Cage reinforcement using axial bars and stirrups is placed between the joining steel plate and the framed steel brace. Non-shrink mortar is injected.
