This is an introduction to the case of supplying "+CAL25F" to the Faculty of Bioresource Sciences at Nihon University! In 2018, we delivered two units of +CAL25F to the Shimoda Coastal Laboratory of the Faculty of Bioresource Sciences at Nihon University. The Shimoda Coastal Laboratory, located in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, faces Tanoura Bay and conducts practical training and research on marine resources. However, it is said that during a massive earthquake in the Nankai Trough, a tsunami exceeding 30 meters could reach the area in about 15 minutes, prompting the introduction of the system to ensure the safety of students and faculty as part of crisis management measures. Additionally, the installation site shown in the above photo was constructed by Nihon University in conjunction with the introduction of this shelter, demonstrating a strong awareness of disaster prevention that left a deep impression on us. Furthermore, we conducted simulations of maritime distress situations with students using the +CAL8F, which accommodates eight people, and contributed to disaster prevention research.
