Installing dust removal equipment in open water channels [Disaster prevention measures in the region through hydropower generation]

We would like to introduce a case where the dust removal device "JJS-B type" was implemented in the open water channel of Sakae Village, Nagano Prefecture. Water flow and power generation began in July 2014, providing an uninterrupted power supply through autonomous operation. It supplies power for security lights, public restroom lighting, and emergency power during disasters, thereby improving local disaster prevention measures and public safety. Additionally, this product was jointly developed with the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization and Shinshu University.
