We would like to introduce a web article regarding the commencement of operations of a hybrid storage facility with sharing features, operated by a group company of Iwate Bank, as announced in a press release by NGK Insulators.
NR-Power Lab announced a press release on June 13, 2024, titled "Starting the Development of a Business Model for Hybrid Storage Facilities with Sharing Functions - Aiming for an Asset-Free Service that Only Provides Storage Functions." This hybrid storage facility with sharing functions (StorageHub) began operations on July 24, 2025, as a solar power plant operated by manorda Iwate, a regional trading company fully funded by Iwate Bank. StorageHub is a storage facility that allows for flexible installation and utilization of batteries in an asset-free model, minimizing initial investment and eliminating the need for equipment. It not only reduces the burden of initial investment but also enables service provision to small-scale users through decentralized installations. This system combines NAS batteries, which are characterized by large capacity and long lifespan, with lithium-ion batteries that offer high output and a wide range of sizes, creating a hybrid storage battery system capable of flexibly meeting a wide range of power needs, regardless of scale or installation location, such as consumers or power plants. We have created articles about the opening in multiple media, so please take a look.

Green x Digital Consortium publishes "Proposal on Requirements Definition for GX Products."
The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA), which serves as the secretariat for the Green x Digital Consortium, has published a "Proposal on the Definition of Requirements for GX Products," which outlines the requirements for products and services that provide environmental value, such as CO2 emission reduction, and highlights their social importance. The Environmental Activity Data Value Working Group of the consortium (Chair: Yoshikazu Higashi, Ricoh Company, Ltd.) aims to establish a framework for the proper evaluation of the ancillary value (green value) of products and services that contribute to reducing environmental impact. They are examining common challenges and solutions for measuring, evaluating, and managing corporate environmental activity performance data. After organizing the concept of linking the products and services provided by companies to green value as an added value for incentive utilization, they have discussed the definition of requirements for GX products that lead to the evaluation and utilization of green value, compiling it into the "Proposal on the Definition of Requirements for GX Products."

Contribution of NR-Power Lab to the expansion of the ERA market: VPP niche media has begun full-scale operations.
NR-Power Lab has been supporting the VPP niche media "Grid Hub," which was launched at the end of last year and is set to expand its content significantly in 2025, as a primary sponsor. In addition to promoting the development of systems for existing VPP (Virtual Power Plant) services and power digital services, as well as the development of business models and demonstration projects for their social implementation, NR-Power Lab is strengthening its activities aimed at commercialization in collaboration with its two investors, NGK Insulators and Ricoh. As part of this effort, NR-Power Lab has joined the ERA Business Promotion Council as a supporting member shortly after its establishment, in agreement with the founding purpose of aiming for the healthy development of businesses utilizing renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, which are essential for achieving carbon neutrality, and DERs like batteries that are crucial for expanding their adoption. Additionally, to expand the market through increased recognition, NR-Power Lab has contributed as a sponsor to media outlets.
