The "NS-SSB" is a seismic isolation component for construction that utilizes the principle of a pendulum. The natural period of the seismic isolation layer depends on the precision of the radius of curvature of the concave plate's spherical surface. Since it is machined under computer control, manufacturing variation is minimal, and there is almost no variation due to aging. Furthermore, by using metal materials as the main component, it achieves a surface pressure approximately three times that of laminated rubber bearings. Due to the high surface pressure, the device itself is compact, and the joints with the upper structure and foundation are also compact.
