We will give a "lightning indicator" for free to those who purchase the lightning protection ball PDCE for the first time.
- For new purchases - We will provide a lightning strike indicator (manufactured by Nippon Oil & Fat Co., Ltd.) free of charge to identify whether there has been a lightning strike on the PDCE lightning rod itself. This is important because there are rare instances where it becomes an issue whether the PDCE lightning rod itself has experienced a lightning strike. By attaching this lightning strike indicator to the support pipe of the PDCE lightning rod, in the event of a lightning strike with a current of 60kA or more, a red ribbon will pop out from the main unit, allowing for remote identification of whether a lightning strike has occurred. *The lightning strike indicator is a trademark of Nippon Oil & Fat Co., Ltd.

PDC E Lightning Rod vs. Standard Lightning Rod [PDC E News No. 6 May 2018 Announcement]
A field test was conducted over six years in Fukura Town, Aomori Prefecture, to investigate how much less likely PDCE lightning rods are to be struck by lightning compared to conventional lightning rods. The result was "11 to 0." The conventional lightning rod was struck by lightning 11 times and its tip melted, while the PDCE remained unscathed. Indoor discharge experiments according to French standards were conducted multiple times, confirming a clear difference, but this time the test was conducted on a mountain facing the Sea of Japan, where there are strong winter lightning strikes.

[New Product Announcement] Mobile Lightning Suppression Trailer (Civilian & Self-Defense Forces), Electric Telescopic Pole, etc. | Lightning Suppression Systems
This time, Raijin Suppression Systems Co., Ltd. plans to release the following four models in 2022. ◆ Mobile Lightning Suppression Trailer This is a trailer that can be transported to the desired location for lightning suppression, where a pole can be easily erected, grounding work can be performed, and all necessary equipment to create an environment less prone to lightning strikes is loaded and made mobile. * Available in two types: for the Self-Defense Forces and for civilian use. ◆ Electric Telescopic Pole This pole can extend and retract from about 3 meters to 14 meters with the push of a button. It is suitable for use in locations where long poles for lightning rods can be an obstacle, such as helipads. The pole can be shortened during takeoff and extended after landing to protect objects from lightning. ◆ Lightning Sphere This is a spherical structure with a double shell, containing an internal electrode corresponding to the lower electrode of the PDCE, which is grounded. There is also an outer spherical electrode that covers the internal electrode, functioning as the upper electrode of the PDCE lightning rod. We plan to sell this lightning sphere. In summary, we plan to release two mobile lightning suppression trailers, an electric pole, and a PDCE lightning sphere.

It was featured in the Nikkei Industrial Newspaper on July 22, 2022 (Friday)!
Recently, on July 22, 2022, the Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun featured our company, Rakurai Yokusei Systems. We are engaged in the sales, import/export, development, and manufacturing of the lightning rod 'PDCE,' which was developed with a completely opposite concept to traditional lightning rods, designed not to attract lightning. The lightning ball introduced in the article has a dual structure, with the lower electrode of the PDCE serving as the internal electrode and the upper electrode forming the outer electrode as a sphere, enhancing discharge performance. It is designed to be difficult to discharge, meaning it is extremely challenging to generate upward discharges, and we have obtained patents not only in Japan but also in the United States. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, 30% of lightning strikes occur in August. As we are approaching the peak season for lightning strikes, those interested in lightning protection measures are encouraged to take a look.

The number of installed lightning rods (PDCE) has exceeded 4,000 units. We will continue to promote the expansion of lightning rods to contribute to the prevention of fires caused by lightning and the stable operation of electrical and electronic equipment.
<Background for the Demand for Lightning Suppression Type Lightning Rods (PDCE)> In the present day, where various electronic devices such as home appliances, computers, and control systems are used, the advantages of traditional lightning rods that intentionally attract lightning have diminished. While buildings can be protected, it is challenging to safeguard internal equipment and electronic devices. The increase in saturated water vapor in the air due to global warming leads to the formation of clouds, and the abundance of water vapor is a cause of extreme weather. In this trend of increasingly severe weather, there is a demand for lightning countermeasure products that are less likely to attract lightning. <Locations Where Lightning Suppression Type Lightning Rods (PDCE) Are Installed> Lightning Suppression Systems' PDCE offers a lineup of ten models, ranging from large to small, including those with heat resistance. Already, 4,000 units have been installed in locations such as the Self-Defense Forces, railways, highways, data centers, radio towers, fire stations, and observation stations. During the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, 100 units were introduced at 31 venues, and recently, there has been an increase in installations at outdoor sports facilities like soccer fields, event venues such as festivals, and large vessels. There are already numerous achievements in chemical plants handling hydrogen, which is expected to be a future energy source.
