Sahara Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture) has launched a new product, **"Karari Fan-R (Karari Fan Renovation),"** on January 5, 2026, as a model for renovations featuring the wall-mounted exhaust fan "Karari Fan," which specializes in moisture, odor, and mold prevention in closets and storage spaces. The previous model, "Karari Fan," has been highly regarded as an "assist fan" that continuously exhausts dirty air and moisture from storage areas, supporting 24-hour ventilation. By creating "airflow (ventilation)" in storage spaces, it has contributed to the suppression of moisture, odors, and mold growth. The newly released "Karari Fan-R" inherits this performance while updating the power supply method to a plug-in type. It can now be installed without the need for electrical wiring work within the walls, significantly enhancing its installation feasibility in the retrofit and renovation market. ■ Product Features - Reduces the occurrence of moisture, odors, and mold - Ideal for renovations - easy installation with plug-in type - Flat design that blends into living spaces - Quiet and low power consumption - perfect for 24-hour operation It achieves "ventilation that is not bothersome even when left on."

Sahara Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Iwate Prefecture, Representative Director: Yoshiki Sahara), which boasts the top market share in Japan for ventilation sashes in the OEM business, has launched the residential 24-hour ventilation systems "New Flat Fan" (ventilation layer type) and "Flat Fan Direct" (wall-penetrating type) nationwide starting September 3, 2025. The newly revamped New Flat Fan, developed in collaboration with the Yoshitaka Watanabe Laboratory at Tohoku University of Art and Design's Faculty of Design Engineering, is a next-generation ventilation system that combines a sophisticated design harmonizing with interiors and high energy-saving performance. In recent years, the trend in residential design has been moving towards balancing "design" and "comfort." However, previous 24-hour ventilation systems have focused solely on functionality, presenting challenges in harmonizing with living spaces in terms of design. In response, Sahara Co., Ltd. has developed a new model, the "Flat Fan," which is a "ventilation fan that doesn't look like a ventilation fan," completely renewing its design, functionality, and maintenance aspects. ◆ Product Features 1. Minimalist design that blends into interiors 2. Comfortable ventilation with high-performance double squirrel cage fans 3. Achieves both quiet operation and energy-saving performance 4. Improved maintenance 5. No need for drilling holes in exterior walls

Collaboration for Effective Ventilation Implementation RoomClip Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo, CEO: Masahiko Takashige), which operates "RoomClip" (https://roomclip.jp/), one of Japan's largest social platforms specialized in living spaces, and Sahara Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ichinoseki, Iwate Prefecture, CEO: Yoshiki Sahara), which develops and sells natural ventilation devices, conducted a joint survey targeting 832 RoomClip users regarding 24-hour ventilation in homes. The survey revealed that 26.6% of respondents do not implement 24-hour ventilation in their homes, and 20.8% regularly close the air intake vents in their homes. Moving forward, both companies will collaborate to raise awareness of the importance of 24-hour ventilation in homes and propose environments that facilitate 24-hour ventilation. *In this press release, "24-hour ventilation" refers to 24-hour ventilation in "Type 3 ventilation," which combines natural air supply and mechanical exhaust.

It's the rainy season, isn't it? When it comes to "troublesome places" in the house, I think of the "closet" or "storage space." Even though you should have your favorite clothes stored away, the moment you open it, a stuffy air or unpleasant smell wafts out... "Mold is back again!" "I'm worried about the humidity, but there are no windows, so what should I do...?" Do you have such concerns? The cause of this is often "stagnant air" and "humidity." When moisture accumulates in spaces that are hard to ventilate, mold can develop, and odors can transfer to your clothes. For those of you, we have a product that we would like you to know about. It's the "Karari Fan." For catalog requests or quotes regarding this product, please feel free to contact us using the information below.

We will contribute to forest conservation and CO2 reduction, aiming for a sustainable society together with the community. The commemorative gift we received is made from thinned wood of cedar from Ichinoseki, specifically selected for its unique knots and interesting features that are not used as construction materials, making it a "one-of-a-kind" creation.
