In an era of material shortages and rising material costs, what should we prioritize and protect?
Under the floor and in the attic... "Invisible spaces" are being reconsidered now The environment surrounding the housing industry has changed significantly in recent years. Rising timber prices, increased costs of equipment, a shortage of skilled workers, and prolonged delivery times are not temporary changes but are becoming entrenched as structural changes in the entire housing industry. Furthermore, in recent years, the global surge in resource prices, the depreciation of the yen, and rising logistics costs have compounded the situation, leading to a generally unstable environment for housing-related materials. What was once taken for granted—that "necessary materials can be obtained immediately when needed"—is no longer a given. Additionally, the construction and equipment industries continue to face a serious labor shortage. In particular, the aging of veteran craftsmen who support the field is progressing year by year, while securing young talent is not easy. As a result, situations such as difficulty in scheduling construction dates, longer waiting periods until construction, and limited availability of contractors in certain regions are increasingly common nationwide. In the housing industry, there is a growing sentiment that "construction plans cannot be made with the same sense as before," whether for new builds or renovations, which is becoming the norm across the country. About the "Automatic Stop Function After 10 Years" for the Underfloor and Attic Ventilation Fan Series.
Regarding the "Automatic Stop Function after 10 Years" Automatic stop has been implemented in products manufactured from 2015 onwards. ■ Overview of Inspection Period Notification Function The dedicated controllers and timers for underfloor and attic ventilation fans sold since 2015 are equipped with the safety function mentioned on the left. Starting from November 2025, the automatic stop function will be activated sequentially for products manufactured in 2015. ■ Response Procedure at the Time of Automatic Stop It is expected that customers will contact the sales and installation stores. We ask that sales and installation stores respond according to the following procedures: 1. Conduct a safety inspection based on the "Underfloor and Attic Ventilation Fan Inspection Checklist." * Please ensure to check for looseness and retighten the connections of the controller and timer. If any liquids such as water, oil, or detergent have come into contact, the internal components may corrode, leading to fire hazards; therefore, replacement of the main unit is necessary. 2. If there are no issues, press and hold the set button to restart the operation. ■ Start of Shipment for Controllers/Timers with Inspection Period Notification Function For details regarding the shipment history of timers, please contact our company’s sales representative or quality control department.

Effects of using a moisture-absorbing agent (bamboo charcoal) in combination with an underfloor ventilation fan.
We highly recommend that customers who have already installed moisture control materials (such as bamboo charcoal) consider adding a subfloor ventilation fan. We will compare and verify the moisture control effects/performance of using only subfloor moisture control agents (bamboo charcoal) versus using both subfloor moisture control agents and mechanical ventilation through moisture absorption and desorption tests. *The operation time of the ventilation fan is under desorption conditions. By adding a ventilation fan to the subfloor where bamboo charcoal mats are installed, we confirmed improvements in ventilation and airflow effects, leading to enhanced moisture absorption and release efficiency of the bamboo charcoal mats and reduced drying time. Additionally, it is expected that the combined use of the ventilation fan will further improve moisture control performance, leading to a decrease in subfloor humidity and enhanced drying effects on wood moisture content. Product condition and underfloor environment of the Dry Pro type-C after approximately 2.5 years of use.
This is a report on the inspection results after approximately two and a half years of using the Dry Pro Type-C in the newly added crawl space (foundation packing method) during the renovation. The inspection results showed that there was no dust or other substances adhering to the heat dissipation fins of the dehumidifier, the dehumidifying fins, the intake of the blower, or the fan that could negatively affect performance. Additionally, there were no foreign substances or dust adhering to the drain hose for dehumidified water or the pump tank that could adversely impact performance, and all components were functioning normally. (Photo: Heat dissipation fins of the dehumidifier) The newly added crawl space was located on the north side in a poorly ventilated area, but no signs of mold or condensation were observed, confirming that a dry state was maintained. A deeper and newer vision of what should be - "Learning from the past to create the future."
In the 21st century, the way human society exists on a global scale is being questioned. In this era of rapid change, what kind of aspirations should we have when engaging in business? SEIHO's new concept naturally emerged from such inquiries. "Compassion" is the new concept. Rather than pursuing extravagant ideas, we want to delve deeper into a simple concept that everyone can be confident in. We wish to return to our origins to realize this concept. In a time when a diverse array of information is overflowing, misjudging the clear distinction between "purpose" and "means" can render even effective technologies futile. SEIHO will firmly place "principles, fundamentals, and essence" as the axis of our management decisions, learning from the wisdom of past sages while creating genuine technologies and services that benefit society.
