The Smart Attach method is a non-welding, short-term bracing reinforcement method that replaces traditional seismic reinforcement.

<Smart Attach Method Specifications> Target Area: Reinforcement of braces for steel frame columns and beams Existing Steel Column/Beam Shape: H-shaped cross-section material (rolled, welded assembly) Applicable Column/Beam Flange Width: 124-305 mm Applicable Column/Beam Height: 1200 mm or less Web Width to Thickness Ratio: 71 or less Brace Material Angle: 20-70 degrees <Materials Used> SA Hardware: 3 types, cast steel products (equivalent to JIS G 5102/ SCW480) SA Plate: 490 Newton class steel material High-Strength Bolts: Torus-type high-strength bolts (S10T) or high-strength hex bolts for friction joints (F10T) - Detailed examination will be conducted by our company. The quantity of SA hardware and bolt diameter will be determined based on the required load capacity at the brace connection. - This method corresponds to the connection method between H-shaped cross-section materials and brace materials in brace reinforcement methods. - The cross-section examination of brace materials (including gusset plates) and the seismic reinforcement design of buildings using braces fall within the scope of the seismic reinforcement designer's considerations. *This will not be implemented by Senkushia.
