Launch of the "Smart Chronos® Method," a weld-free brace joint construction method that replaces conventional seismic reinforcement.
Senkushia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Executive Officer: Nobutaka Kasahara), which manufactures and sells building materials and related construction, has begun selling the "Smart Chronos Method," a brace joint method that replaces traditional welded seismic reinforcement with a no-welding, short-construction-time approach. In seismic reinforcement work for steel-framed buildings, it is common to use welding methods when attaching reinforcement materials to the structure. However, welding methods require significant time and effort for work and fire prevention measures, and they pose a fire risk during construction. Therefore, there is a demand for safe, reliable, and simple joining methods that do not use fire. In response to these challenges, our company has developed the "Smart Attach Method" (brace reinforcement) with the concepts of "no welding" and "improved construction efficiency," which has been well received in seismic reinforcement for factories and warehouses. We have now applied this technology to develop the "Smart Chronos Method," which allows for the installation of brace materials using dedicated SC hardware and bolts.

Standardization of high shear strength high base - We have started selling the 'Shear Cutter High Base Method'.
Senkushia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Executive Officer and President: Nobuyasu Kasahara), which manufactures and sells construction machinery and chains, as well as related construction work, has recently started selling the "Shear Cutter High Base Method," which has high shear resistance. In our flagship product, the "High Base Method," there has been an issue where, in the design of factories and warehouses, cases where braces are attached to columns resulted in insufficient shear resistance depending on the conditions. We have been working to address this issue. As a result, with this product, even in cases where braces are attached to columns, it has become possible to transmit the shear force from the braces acting on the base plate to the foundation by adopting the "Shear Cutter High Base Method."

We have obtained the construction technology examination certification for the "Smart Attach Method," a welding-free brace reinforcement method that replaces conventional seismic reinforcement.
Senkushia Co., Ltd. has obtained the construction technology examination certification for the non-welded brace reinforcement method "Smart Attach Method" from the Japan Architecture Center, a general incorporated foundation. Moving forward, we aim to further expand our product offerings for the steel frame seismic reinforcement system, targeting sales of 1.2 billion yen for the entire system in the fiscal year 2022. ■ Acquisition of Construction Technology Examination Certification We obtained the "Construction Technology Examination Certification (Architectural Technology)" from the Japan Architecture Center, a general incorporated foundation, on December 2, 2019. (BCJ - Examination Certification - 259) For more details, please refer to the attached release document.
