[Compass PLUS Implementation Case] Unified Management of Sea Ice Forecasting and Weather Observation
Unified management of sea lion forecasts and weather observations. Earn comprehensive evaluation points with technical proposals!
We would like to introduce the implementation results of the comprehensive meteorological and oceanographic portal site "Compass PLUS." In the coastal beach nourishment project commissioned by the Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, the site faces the Sea of Japan and has a high shared coefficient (coefficient 5), allowing the observation data to be utilized as evidence. Since it enables centralized management of oceanographic forecasts and meteorological observation values, the person in charge of comprehensive evaluation decided to adopt it for technical proposals, leading to the successful bid. In addition to oceanographic forecasts (wave height, period, swell), we have installed meteorological observation devices (rainfall, wind, temperature), a web camera for remote monitoring of the site, and an alarm transmission device to communicate information to the construction site. The greatest advantage is that all of these can be centrally managed with Compass PLUS.
basic information
【Case Study】 ■Purpose ・Understanding weather and ocean conditions is essential for construction near the coast. ・We want to raise awareness of weather disaster prevention among workers. ・We want to remotely check the site conditions when we cannot approach the site due to bad weather. ■Effects ・By centrally managing ocean forecasts and real-time weather observation data on the same site, it became easier to organize work processes. ・By displaying information visibly with the "disaster prevention light," we were able to enhance workers' awareness of weather disaster prevention. ・With the "web camera," we can always grasp the site conditions from anywhere. ・The email notification function when reaching caution or suspension criteria has made it easier to determine whether work can proceed. 【Installed Equipment】 ■ Compass PLUS ■ N Sensor https://kensetsu.ipros.jp/product/detail/2000434418 ■ Disaster Prevention Light https://kensetsu.ipros.jp/product/detail/2000391819 ■ Camera https://kensetsu.ipros.jp/product/detail/2000414252

[Reposted] An article has been contributed to the journal "Workboat" by the Japan Workboat Association.
We have received many inquiries from customers regarding a matter that was previously published in our latest news, so we are posting it again. The same text follows. We have contributed an article titled "How to Utilize Wave Height Observation and Weather Information Services" to the January 2022 issue of the journal "Working Vessels" published by the Japan Working Vessel Association. In light of the recent frequent abnormal weather, we introduce the optimal ways to utilize weather information related to marine operations and vessels, along with our NETIS registered products "Small Wave Height Observation Device Digi-Jellyfish (QSK-170002-A)" and "Comprehensive Weather and Ocean Information Portal Compass PLUS (QSK-210001-VE)." Please take a look.
