【ZEROSAI Case Study】 NEXCO Order Earth Cutting and Embankment Work
Mainly engaged in excavation and slope construction to create new roads. There are challenges in addressing abnormal weather events such as heavy rainfall in recent years. Technical proposals and creative ideas.
【Operating Environment】 Install the [N Sensor] on-site to observe rain, wind, temperature, and humidity in real-time. Additionally, since there is no power supply on-site, operations will be conducted using a solar power system. 【Purpose of Introduction】 〇 In the event of a sudden heavy rain during construction, it is difficult to respond quickly on-site, so it is necessary to avoid dangers to workers from landslides and mudflows in advance, which is why it is introduced for weather forecasting and project management. 〇 The mudflows caused by sudden heavy rain can also negatively affect the quality of the cut-and-fill soil, so it is introduced to ensure quality. 〇 It is essential to implement measures to predict and respond to localized heavy rain in advance.
basic information
【Usage Method】 〇 Confirm pinpoint forecasts using the 【Disaster Prevention Panel】. Update the "ultra-short-term forecast" for rainfall predictions up to one hour ahead in five-minute increments, and obtain hourly rainfall forecast information for up to 24 hours to reflect in construction procedures. 〇 Establish a system for rapid response by pre-formulating manuals for inspecting and reviewing drainage facilities based on the actual rainfall observed by the N sensor and the forecasts from the disaster prevention panel, as well as evacuation methods for personnel and machinery. 〇 Visualize the current rainfall and the predicted rainfall one hour later using the 【Disaster Prevention Light】, and establish a system to prompt alerts with rotating lights and sirens when pre-set threshold values are exceeded, allowing for prompt implementation of rain countermeasures. 〇 Install a 【Web Camera】 to continuously monitor construction conditions from the site office and staff smartphones, facilitating rapid response to any changes that occur. Customer Feedback 〇 Based on predictions of localized heavy rainfall, we were able to implement preemptive measures such as sheet protection and drainage inspections, ensuring the quality of the embankment work. 〇 Extracted observation data was utilized as supporting documentation for the client. 〇 Operations were possible even at sites without power, thanks to the solar power supply system, allowing for the collection of pinpoint data from the site.
